Machines and the Smoking Room

More than 600 slot machines fill the floor. Denominations begin at $.01, with $.02 and $.05 machines alongside, and rise through $.25 and $1 up to $5.

Smokers have a room of their own inside. The dedicated Smoking Room runs on its own HVAC filtration system, separate from the rest of the building. Out on the RV lot, a posted rule applies: cigarette butts go in a bin, and littering is not allowed.

Four live games and a poker list

The casino names four live games: Blackjack in two versions, Texas Hold'em and Tre Card Stud. For poker, the list opens at 1:00 PM. Names go on in person or by phone at 306-667-6481, and on arrival a Live Games team member does the check-in. The first table is planned for 5:00 PM, once enough staff and listed players are in place. No closing time is posted.

Sevens in numbers

Sevens Sports Bar runs 11 screens. One of them measures 32.8 ft by 8.2 ft. Seating passes 124, split between the bar top and separate seating.

SIGA Rewards costs nothing, and one card covers all seven SIGA casinos. Members who show it when paying get 10% off restaurant or deli orders at SIGA locations. The dining room serves from 11 AM to 12 AM and the lounge stays open until 2 AM, both daily.

SIGA, seven casinos, one split

SIGA, the Saskatchewan Indian Gaming Authority, operates the casino. It is one of seven SIGA casinos in Saskatchewan. It has run since August 2007 on land of the Whitecap Dakota First Nation, high on the South Saskatchewan River valley.

SIGA casino net profits go out in three shares. Half of them, 50%, go to the First Nations Trust; Community Development Corporations take 25%, and the last 25% goes to the provincial General Revenue Fund. Across the province there are nine permanent casinos: the seven run by SIGA, plus Casino Regina and Casino Moose Jaw.

When there is no RV

For a night without an RV, Dakota Dunes Resort stands on the same property. It has 155 rooms and suites. Whitecap Dakota Nation runs the resort, and it operates separately from SIGA. Rates and check-in times are not covered in this guide.
